How to Hand Wash Dishes with One Sink

Hand Washing Dishes can be tough and most people try to avoid this. I have figured out a few simple tricks to handwash dishes in my single sink.

How to handwash dishes in a Single Sink? Wash as you go to avoid clutter. Use a dish tub to create some extra space for washing dishes. Dry and keep the dishes away immediately.

I have moved into a 400 sq foot apartment which has a tiny teeny kitchen with a single sink. This is how I manage to keep the dishes clean.

How to Create some Extra Space?

A single space can be very limiting and sometimes you just need a little bit more space. I ave found that having dish pan on hand can help a lot.

If your sink is big you can place this in the sink, which will create 2 sinks for you. You can fill it with soapy water and soak the dishes in it. Scrub and rinse in the other part of the sink.

If the sink is small you can place it on the counter beside the sink. You can even carry it to the dining table or wherever you would like to wash the dishes.

Some people like in my village, like to wash the dishes in the bathroom ( if they have a spare one).

Dishtubs like these have a drainer so they trap all the food waste.

You simply need to twist the drainer in the bottom to drain dirty water away.

To get rid of the food waste just unplug the drain.
