There are a few different ways you can clean your toilet seat. Whichever method you choose, be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your toilet.
How to Clean a Wood Toilet Seat:
1) Remove the toilet seat from the bowl by unscrewing the bolts that hold it in place.
2) Wipe down the entire surface of the seat with a cloth or sponge. Be sure to get into all the crevices and corners.
3) Rub a little furniture polish onto a cotton swab and wipe down the sides of the seat.
4) Wipe off any excess furniture polish with a dry cloth, and reinstall the seat onto the bowl.
How to Clean a Toilet Seat Hinges:
1) Remove the screws that hold the hinges in place.
2) Wipe down the hinges with a cloth or sponge. Be sure to get into all the crevices and corners.
3) Rub a little furniture polish onto a cotton swab and wipe down the outside of each hinge.
4) Reinstall the hinges, tightening them slightly by hand.
How to Clean Enameled Wood Toilet Seat:
1) Remove the bolts that hold the seat in place.
2) Wipe down the entire surface of the seat with a cloth or sponge. Be sure to get into all the crevices and corners.
3) Rub a little furniture polish onto a cotton swab and wipe down the sides of the seat.
4) Wipe off any excess furniture polish with a dry cloth, and reinstall the seat onto the bowl.
